Spool Files Storage?

Hi Everybody

I'm currently looking for application to store spool files.
Have to be web based with email capability. Platform is not important, can be AS, Windows or Unix.
I also have to copy some of the data I already heve on optical library (jukebox).

Can some of you recomend such application?

Could you explain a bit more why are you saving the spooled files and why wont a backup tape work?

I have to keep spool files forever (literary).
I also have to give immediate access to spool files from last 7 years for users (tons and tons of spool files).
Users have to have email capability to send part or all spool file to the client.
Right now I have 2 application and jukebox (optical library) to manage it.
I'm looking for one multifunction application to store and access spool files.
Those are the reasons why I'm not saving spool files on tape.

Look at RVI (real vission software.com). It supports storage to be on *any device. We use a network storage device that is attached by NTFS.
